Seiko Automatic Watch Movement Servicing. Complete Postal Service , you pay for the service, post your watch to us and then. We service it, regulate it and send it back. Like your cars engine the performance of your watch's movement will deteriorate over time if not cared for properly, this is due to a mix of built up dirt and stiffening of the movements lubricant or a broken/worn part. An automatic watch has a weighted rotor which spins with your arm movement. That rotary motion is then used to wind the watch's main spring. When in good shape, and fully wound, this movement should have a power reserve of roughly 36-40hrs when taken off of your wrist. When your watch arrives, here at Watchkings, the first thing we do is assess your timepiece's performance, then strip it.
Down checking all parts for damage. All mechanical parts are then cleaned in a modern ELMA watch cleaning machine before being reassembled, lubricating (with Seiko recommended oils) as we go. All gaskets disturbed are replaced with new ones too. We offer six different services as laid out below (please read these thoroughly to determine which option is applicable to your needs). If the crystal on your watch has general wear and tear, or has been chipped or smashed this is the option for you.
This listing is for all round faced, or circular, watch faces that need the crystal replacing. We can replace different shaped crystals, but we would advise contacting us with the case number first to check availability.
Please contact Watchkings for a quote if you would like to upgrade your mineral crystal to a super hard, scratch resistant Sapphire Crystal. If your timepiece is still running, even if only for short periods or the second hand will move for a few minutes/seconds when the watch is'swung' please select'Option 2' from the drop-down menu. This is'Options 1 & 2' services combined, your watch will be serviced and a brand new crystal fitted at Watchkings. Please select'Option 3' from the drop-down menu. This option assumes that your watch shows no sign of life when either being worn or not. Meaning that the second hand will not start up, no matter how much the watch is wound (by swinging, or hand winding if it's a hacking movement). Please select'Option 4' from the drop-down menu if you want to put your trusty Seiko back on your wrist. This is'Options 4 & 5' combined. A movement repair and service, with a new crystal fitted at Watchkings, p. Lease select'Option 5' from the drop-down menu. The price of'Options 4 & 5' include the parts required to complete the servicing. Option 6 is a full automatic chronograph movement service. Keep that Old Seiko'Pogue' running and performing to it's best ability.This option also covers the "Bellmatic" range. These prices do not include any dial, or hand restoration although these services can be added on at the customers request.
